What’s on in the Northern Midlands

A weekend of garden delights awaits visitors to Longford Blooms on November 19 and 20. Longford Blooms offers the public an opportunity to stroll through 10 of Longford’s most beautiful private gardens. Four of the gardens opening are of historical interest including Kilgour House, Goodlands, and two interesting Georgian cottages with gardens spilling over with traditional cottage flowers. Two of the gardens this year haven’t been open to the public before. Longford Blooms has grown in popularity over the past nine years, having a reputation of being the place to be to buy rare and unusual plants and this year there are 28 stallholders selling horticultural treasures.

The Longford Garden Club will host its Spring Flower show in the Town Hall over the same weekend.
