Wet track postpones race horse trials

THE official King Island Racing Club Trial Day scheduled for Saturday 19 November was postponed to this Saturday, November 26, due to the race track’s wet condition.

This date is also subject to this week’s weather and rain is predicted. The grass track needs a chance to dry out before the official race days commence.

King Island Racing Club President Audrey Hamer said that members and racegoers will be advised of any change and an update will be posted on Facebook. If there is a postponement this may impact the race calendar and subject to discussions with TasRacing.

Earlier this month, the Race Club changed the New Year’s Cup Day race meet to Monday January 2.

January 1 is Longford Cup Day and many jockeys were committed to riding there.
