Growing golf tour following

THE golf marketing campaign with SEN, the Melbourne-based sports radio network, continued this week with SEN’s Drive Home show anchors, Andrew Gaze and Andy Maher, broadcasting their afternoon show from the King Island Golf and Bowling Club.

Helen Thomas from the King Island Council told the February council meeting that the positive impacts of this campaign were already being seen with increased visitation to the King Island Golf webpages linked to the campaign and leads being generated for future visits to the island.

“As at the end of January, just two months into the six-month campaign, there is a confirmed total booking value of $23,000 across 16 itineraries with more leads in the process of refining their plans,” she said.

The SEN promotion is funded by Tourism Tasmania specifically marketing golf on King Island to their mainland audience.
