Alice weaves her magic again

AFTER the successful performance of “Alice” presented by Sorell on Stage in 2013, this growing theatre company will once more bring it to the stage at the Sorell Memorial Hall.

With a fresh new cast featuring well-known actor/director Ian Williams, radio broadcaster Ron Andersen, children’s entertainer Michelle Pears and a cast of local adults and children including our leading girl Severine Cherry as Alice, this production is sure to please children of all ages as well as adults. Twelve years on and SOS grows exponentially with new talent every time they stage a new show. Enthusiasm for theatre by young or old is a wonderful experience for all involved in this South-East area.

The script stays mostly true to the written words by Lewis Carroll as Alice once more catches up with his famous characters such as Tweedle Dum and Tweedle Dee, the Mad Hatter and the Mock Turtle but it also includes an added wizard who would like to rid Wonderland of dear Alice.

Does he manage to succeed or is our dear Alice in for a lovely ride visiting all her favourite characters?

This is a musical treat with songs written by Saakia Itchins, the director of the show and Musical Director Ian Williams. The show opens Nov 17, at 7pm followed by three more performances on November 18, at 7pm and November 19, at 2pm and 7pm.

Tickets will be available at the door, from Sorell News Agency and Richmond Post Office and online through sorellonstage.net/tickets
